JoAnna Sendejo is a licensed clinical psychologist who obtained her PsyD in Clinical Psychology from Pacific University with a focus in child and Latine psychology. She completed an APA-accredited internship in 2024 at The Children’s Center of Utah and a postdoctoral fellowship in 2025 at a non-profit organization in Colorado. JoAnna’s primary areas of specialty lie in infant and early childhood mental health, neurodevelopmental evaluations, perinatal populations, caregiver-child attachment, trauma and stressor-related disorders, and intergenerational trauma.

She has experience providing individual and family mental health services in English and Spanish at a variety of settings, with a passion for serving early childhood and perinatal populations. Through attachment theory, she believes in the importance of navigating complex family dynamics and fostering healthy and nurturing caregiver-child relationships to promote the long-term health and wellbeing of her clients and families. She also integrates liberation psychology through her work to ensure that her services not only consider the barriers her clients may face but encourage her clients to harness their community wisdom, values, and inherent strengths to thrive. JoAnna considers her clients and families as the experts of their experiences and strives to collaborate with her clients towards culturally congruent practices. She is honored to share a safe space with her clients that supports healing and empowerment.

JoAnna is a bilingual and bicultural clinician who grew up in South Texas, on the Mexico-U.S. borderland known as The Rio Grande Valley. In her free time, she enjoys playing music, going on hikes, trying new foods, and spending time with her partner and two cats.
